Become a Pride Partner
The Pride Partner program allows you to show your commitment to the Prescott Pride Center and to support the important work we do. Standard Partnerships cost as little as $1 a month. (All partnerships are renewed every December. If you sign up for a Standard Partnership earlier in the year, your fee will be prorated for the months remaining in that year.) We’ve also introduced Pride Passes for those of you interested in a higher level of giving. The Pride Pass offers free admission to all regular Pride Center events for the entire year! Partnership levels and benefits are described in detail below.
Please take a moment to review the information, download and complete the registration form (PDF) , and send it in with your donation today. If you cannot afford the annual fee, a brief volunteer commitment may be substituted for your financial contribution.
For many years, the Prescott Pride Center made its newsletter, The Pride Connection, available at no charge. More recently, we asked community members to make a partnership contribution or volunteer commitment in exchange for the newsletter. Quite honestly, neither approach has been perfect. When the newsletter was free, we were reaching a huge number of households, but our printing bills were breaking the bank. When we instituted our partnership program, much of the printing and distribution costs were covered, but our mailing list shrunk dramatically. It was actually pretty amazing how few people were willing to spend a dollar a month for Prescott’s only local GLBT publication.
The Pride Center board feels strongly that our connection to the community matters more than money, so we’ve decided to make a change. We’ll continue to have a partnership program, but newsletter subscriptions will no longer be tied into it. If you want to continue to receive The Pride Connection in 2012, simply complete the form (PDF) and send it in, with or without a donation. You’ll be added to the 2012 mailing list either way. To continue to support the Pride Center through our partnership program, just use the same form to indicate your level of giving and whether or not you wish to receive a laminated partner card.

Partnership Levels and Benefits
- Standard Partnership: $12 per individual, $24 per couple. Benefits include a one-year subscription (one per household) to The Pride Connection and a Partnership Card (available upon request) that gets each adult $1 off the suggested donation at all regular* Pride Center events for one year. “Individual” applies to one adult; “couple” includes, but is not limited to, adult housemates, married or domestic partners, or a Pride Partner and his/her guest.
- Pride Pass: $75 per individual, $100 per household. Benefits include a one-year subscription one per household) to The Pride Connection and a Pride Pass that waives the requested donation at all regular* Pride Center events for one year. “Individual” applies to one adult; “household” applies to an entire household (including, but not limited to, adult housemates, married or domestic partners, or a Pride Partner and his/her guest, and their children under 18 years old).
- Children’s Card: $5 per child under 18 years old. Benefits include free admission to all regular* Pride Center events.
- Organizational Partnership: $25 per organization or business. Benefits include a one-year subscription (one per organization) to The Pride Connection and $5 off the exhibitor space fee for “Mile High Pride Day.”
- With every level of support you also get one fantastic GLBT Community Center!
* not applicable to events the Pride Center co-sponsors with other organizations.

Rainbow Club
The Prescott Pride Center crew works hard for every dollar it receives by putting on events and fundraisers throughout the year. Unfortunately, a sizable portion of that money must be used for operating expenses, such as insurance, rent, and utilities. That doesn’t leave much for starting new programs or expanding existing resources. To try to change that, we’ve created a philanthropy program called the Rainbow Club. Volunteer at the Pride Center
We would like to develop a larger volunteer pool so that the work is spread out and the time commitment per person is shorter. If every household on our mailing list volunteered, the monthly staffing commitment would be less than ten minutes each. If half of you respond, a little less than twenty minutes would be needed per person. In reality, the Pride Center only needs about 26 volunteers to work one two-hour shift each month to keep it open. If you sign up for two shifts, we only need 13 people. Think about how much you’re getting for your time. It’s a small commitment in exchange for a community resource like the Prescott Pride Center. The price tag is low and the reward is high, so please give us a call at (928) 445-8800.
