“Broadway & Beyond”
Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus Concert

Saturday, June 21st • 7 pm

Crossroads Center at Prescott College ( 215 Garden Street, Prescott)

The Prescott Pride Center is pleased to welcome the Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus (PMMC) to Prescott for a two-hour Broadway revue that’s sure to be an audience-pleaser. About two dozen members of the PMMC’s 90-member chorus will sing and dance their way into your heart with a top-notch musical event that explores Broadway’s approach to the human condition. You’ll enjoy classics like Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes,” complete with top hats and canes, plus you’ll hear contemporary numbers from the latest shows like “Avenue Q.” There’ll also be specially-commissioned songs based on the children’s book “Oliver Button is a Sissy.” And don’t worry, it won’t be a stuffy, recital-style concert. Mixed in with the Broadway medleys, there’ll be dialog, costume changes, and acting, as well as special performances by PMMC’s outstanding soloists.

Tickets are a very reasonable $10 at the door. You will be able to also buy them in advance online here. Just click on the “Buy Tickets” link in the “Broadway & Beyond” article on our home page (coming soon). Online tickets are $8, plus a $2 processing fee. For more information on the show, please contact Frankie at (928) 443-8520. To learn more about the Chorus, call (602) 717-4262 or visit www.gcpaphx.org. And by the way, if you’re wondering what happened to the Grand Canyon Men’s Chorale that performed in Prescott a few years ago, this is them! They changed their name and went from being a strictly recital choir to Phoenix’s largest “show” choir. The name has changed, but the power of their voices is stronger than ever. Please join us in welcoming them back to Prescott.

For directions to the Prescott College Crossroads Center, please see below or download a detailed campus map PDF. Crossroads Center South is #207S on the map.

Directions: The Crossroads Center is located in the alley behind Prescott College. It can be a little tricky to find if you’ve never been there before, so please feel free to contact Frankie at (928) 443-8520 for more detailed directions if needed. Parking is available in any of the surrounding lots or on Grove Ave in front of the Manzanita Building.

To get to Crossroads Center from the courthouse square, take Gurley St west toward Thumb Butte. Turn right at the traffic light on Grove Ave. Go north one block on Grove and turn left onto Western Ave (the Yavapai Federal Credit Union is on the corner of Grove and Western). Make an immediate right turn into the alley behind the credit union and follow the alley road north until you see the big two-story rustic-looking building on your left.
If you’re coming from the north end of town, take Miller Valley Rd south until it becomes Grove Ave. Turn right at the traffic light on the corner of Grove and Sheldon. Make your first left into the alley and follow the alley road to the two-story rustic building on your right.
